Private Chef
Mykah Smith
I bring over six years of experience in the culinary industry, with a background in restaurants and corporate catering. I see cooking as an art form—one rooted in culture, history, and the way food connects people.
Exploring flavors and understanding the “why” behind food is what inspires me most, and I’ve continued to grow that passion through culinary classes abroad in Mexico, Colombia, and Seoul, Korea.

My cooking style is contemporary, flavorful, and vibrant, with a strong focus on fusion. While I have Southern roots and extensive experience in Southern cuisine, I take pride in diversifying how I experience food and enjoy working across different cuisines.
I especially love preparing soups, stews, and seafood, with Sundubu Jjigae, a Korean tofu stew made with dashi and Korean chili flakes, being one of my current favorites.

I believe in eating balanced—nourishing the body with the nutrients it deserves while still leaving room for pleasure and indulgence. To me, healthy eating should feel satisfying and enjoyable, not restrictive.

What I enjoy most about cooking for clients is the connection. I love learning about individuals and families through the foods they enjoy, expanding their palates, and seeing people genuinely enjoy something unexpected. Garlic is one of my favorite ingredients to cook with—it doesn’t go in everything, but when used thoughtfully, it adds something special.

Outside the kitchen, I practice yoga and am currently pursuing my yoga teacher certification. I also love antiquing, and I’m a skilled roller skater who enjoys learning and performing tricks.
I was drawn to FilosoFitness because of its commitment to caring for both clients and employees.
Through my cooking, my goal is to put a smile on clients’ faces, ease the stress of busy schedules, and give families back time to invest in themselves.

Private Chef
Ashley Walker
Hi, I’m Ashley Walker—a self-taught chef from the heart of Mississippi with over 20 years of experience in the kitchen. My roots are in Southern cooking, but I’ve spent years reimagining the classics with a healthier, lighter twist. I truly believe comfort food and clean eating can live on the same plate.

Growing up surrounded by rich culinary traditions, I learned to cook with intuition, love, and a whole lot of flavor. Today, I bring that same energy into every kitchen I step into—creating meals that are wholesome, satisfying, and full of soul.

Whether I’m preparing weekly meals for a busy family or putting together a special dinner, my goal is always the same: to nourish both body and spirit with food that feels like home.

Private Chef
Marius Preclaro
Hi, I’m Marius Preclaro, a professionally trained chef with more than 10 years of culinary experience. Growing up in the Bay Area surrounded by diverse cultures and learning from my grandmother’s Filipino cooking inspired my appreciation for food, which I later developed through the culinary program at Diablo Valley College.

My cooking style is eclectic, comforting, and colorful, influenced by Filipino, European, Mexican, Korean, Thai, soul food, and Palestinian-inspired cuisines. I enjoy creating hearty soups, beans, vibrant salads, and nourishing meals that highlight fresh ingredients and naturally colorful plates.

What I love most about cooking for clients is knowing that a thoughtfully prepared meal can provide a bright spot and a moment of relief in someone’s busy day. My goal is to give clients more time and energy to pursue the hobbies, passions, and experiences that bring joy to their lives.

Outside the kitchen, I enjoy jazz, rally racing, rock climbing, and borrowing CDs from the library. I joined FilosoFitness to challenge myself by working independently in different environments while continuing to grow as a chef and create meaningful experiences through food.
